American rapper Kanye West and wife Kim Kardashian paid a visit to Masulita children’s home in Wakiso district, which was started by Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO).
While visiting Masulita children’s home which is the oldest orphanage in Uganda on Tuesday, Kanye West said he would work with local musicians to help promote Uganda’s industry.
“Uganda is a very beautiful country and we shall be back soon. We shall work with Uganda musicians to promote their music,” said Kanye who was accompanied by his wife, State Minister for Tourism, Godfrey Kiwanda, minister of Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Eng Hillary Onek and other government officials.
He also offered to help the orphans at the children’s village before donating multiple pairs of yeezy sneakers and T-shirts to them.
“We shall be back to work with Uweso Children’s village to make sure the children get a better life,” he added.
Kanye and his wife were flown by military chopper from Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls national park, where they are staying, to the children’s village in Wakiso District.
Kanye and his wife also visited President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe on Monday.
During their visit, the celebrity couple pledged to put up a world-class tourism school in Uganda.
