Janet Jackson to be honored with Global icon award at MTV’s European Music Award.

Singer Janet Jackson will be honored with this year’s Global Icon Award at MTV’s European Music Awards.

The MTV European Music Awards ceremony is set to take place  November 4, 2018, 10:00 PM GMT+3 in Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Spain.

The award give away ceremony will air live on Sunday, November, 4th,.

The 52 year old singer has been confirmed and will be honored withe Global Icon Award at the MTV’s European Music Awards.

 Bruce Gillmer – global head of music and talent at Viacom – said: “Janet is without question one of the world’s biggest stars. Her incredibly artistry has opened doors for countless others while leaving an indelible impact on pop culture – well over three decades and counting.”

According to Bruce Gillmer Janet Jackson deserves the Global icon award.

Janet Jackson,(52), joins an elite list of artists and bands who have won the trophy before her, including Whitney Houston, Eminem, Bon Jovi, Queen and U2.

Taking to social media, Janet Jackson says, she feels honored to receive MTVEMA award and she just can’t wait to celebrate with fans as she receives her Global icon award in November.

She wrote, I’m honored to receive this year’s @MTVEMA Global Icon Award. I can’t wait to celebrate with my fans all around the world on Nov. 4th in Spain — #MadeForNow
#MTVEMA.”
