Eden Hazard has insisted he has ‘no problem’ staying at Chelsea should a future move to Real Madrid fail to materialise.
The Premier League side are desperately trying to secure their prized Belgian asset to a new long-term contract with talks planned to open in the next month.
The 27-year-old has been frank and honest over the international break about the interest from Real Madrid in the summer, and he has now revealed his future could be to stay in west London.
‘I can finish with Chelsea,’ the Premier League’s top scorer told Sky Sports ahead of the visit of Manchester United on Saturday.
‘No problem at all. I am very happy with this club, with the team, my family is happy here.
‘So, if I don’t go to Spain, it is not a problem. I love the fans – I think the fans love me! What happens in the future, I will be happy, so that’s it.’
With Hazard turning 28 in January, the attacker’s next contract looks set to be the last big one of his career.
