Uganda’s Vipers Sports club announced that they had parted ways with their head coach Miguel Jorge Da Costa on Tuesday.
Vipers club said it fired Da Costa as part of the restructuring process and preparation for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League and the forthcoming Uganda Premier League season.
The club spokesman, Abdul Wasike said that since Da Costa’s contract had not run out, the club will compensate him.
Vipers SC thanked Coach Da Costa for his commitment and service to the club and wished him success in his career advancement going forward.
Da Costa, who was appointed in March 2017, guided Vipers Sports to win the 2017-2018 Uganda Premier League title two months ago.
Vipers Sports Club is expected to represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League.
