Mohamed Salah is confident he will be fit to play against Merseyside rivals Everton on the weekend, having had a scan on the groin injury he sustained in the Champions League victory over Manchester City.
The Egyptian star was spotted leaving the hospital on Thursday afternoon and replied with a thumbs up after being asked if he will be available for Saturday’s crunch clash.
He appeared to be in high spirits and seemed to be in no pain as he walked around freely with a friend before leaving in a white Mercedes.
He arrived at the hospital at around 11.40am and left around 40 minutes later. Salah was asked by a couple of young autograph hunters whether he would be playing in Saturday’s Merseyside derby but he merely smiled and shrugged his shoulders.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp faces the prospect of leaving Salah, his side’s star player this season, out of Saturday’s clash in a bid to ensure he is fit to face City again on Tuesday.
