Liverpool have made a world record £62million bid for Alisson Becker in an attempt to solve their long-standing goalkeeping issue.
Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, has recognised that he must address the position if his team are to keep progressing and Becker has long been the man he wants to replace Loris Karius.
Chelsea also want the Brazil international but Liverpool know the time has come to move.
The bid, according to sources in Italy, is £53million with a subsequent £9million in add-ons.
Liverpool have a good relationship with AS Roma and first registered their interest in Becker back in January.
